Welcome to NALC Branch 758's home page.

Our branch represents city letter carriers in Riverview, Southgate, and Wyandotte Michigan. Branch 758 has a proud tradition of enforcing letter carrier rights for over one hundred years!

Our main focus and belief is each and every letter carrier has a fundamental right to be protected under the collective bargaining agreement, the National Relations Act, and all applicable laws and regulations. Our belief is the rights of letter carriers should be the main focus of the NALC. Work room floor rights should be the main objective with all other matters secondary.

Until recently we have found it very difficult to achieve contract compliance, with regards to the agency failing to meet on grievances or failing to provide information. Our branch was privileged to be forced to attend three Article 15 interventions. The fourth Article 15 intervention was boycotted per my Direction. Numerous grievance settlements were written indicating the agency violated the provisions of the national agreement. The problem was, this wording was followed by "the remedy requested was deemed inappropriate". The parties are contacting higher level authority to conduct an Article 15 intervention. It is our belief with these efforts future contract compliance will be accomplished. Thankfully our efforts of failing to give up have been rewarded by an arbitrator’s decision. Branch 758 was awarded a five hundred dollar payment for the continual failure of the agency to meet on grievances. Our relentless pursuit of justice has finally come to fruit. Why the agency refuses to properly tray the mail, forward the mail properly, and the DPS system has never worked properly show the hypocrisy of those in charge. At Branch 758, letter carriers should be proud of the jobs we do in spite of Postal Management. Thank you for visiting the website.
